Privacy Statement

Dr Bradley Richmond and his Practice (collectively “the Practice”) is committed to providing quality healthcare services in a way that respects and protects the Personal Information of our Patients. In doing so, the Practice adheres to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Personal Information is used by the Practice for the purpose of facilitating healthcare provision. This includes providing direct healthcare, managing medical records, and ensuring accurate billing and payments. Additionally, information may be used for quality and safety improvement processes such as audits and staff training. If Personal Information is ever used for purposes other than healthcare provision, additional consent will be obtained e.g., for marketing or research.

Personal Information is stored by the Practice in a manner that reasonably preserves confidentiality, protects against misuse or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, prevents damage, loss or theft, and allows access to ensure continuity of treatment. 

The Practice acknowledges patients may request access to their Personal Information and may wish to correct their information. All signed written requests must be accompanied by identity verification and will be responded to by the Practice within ten (10) business days.
